Guest data and privacy
What we keep about your guests, who sees it and when it is removed.
3 min readUpdated 18 October 2026
In a nutshell
- Only you see the guest list and the replies.
- We don't sell data, we don't show ads and your site does not appear on Google.
- 12 months after the wedding, guests' personal data is anonymised.
The guest list is yours. You decide who you invite and what details you add. We keep that data only so the site and the dashboard work.
What we keep about each guest
- Their name and, if you add them, their email or phone.
- Their reply on the site: whether they are coming, how many people they bring and any dietary needs. Dietary needs are only there for you to know.
- The gift they chose and the message they left you.
Who sees it
- You, on your dashboard. Each couple only has access to their own data.
- The site does not show the guest list. When replies are list-only, each guest only finds their own invitation.
- The data is kept on servers in the European Union. We don't sell it or use it for anything else.
12 months after the wedding
Guests' personal data is anonymised automatically 12 months after the wedding date: names, emails, phones and dietary needs are removed.

A guest who wants to see, correct or delete their data can talk to you or write to support@joinvows.com. More detail in the privacy policy.
